welcome to my life
SOULFISHER Racing is the latest adventure in my journey with God. I consider it an incredible blessing to be able to be a part of a sport that I have long been interested in, but only dreamt possible. I hope that you find this site both interesting and challenging.

Looking inside
Posted (soulfisher) on 15-11-2009

Tore down the engine yesterday on the race car. Good news is that everything looks great. Bearings were only slightly worn after two years, cylinders looked as clean as they were when I put it together and no signs of stress on head gaskets, etc. Everything was working as it should be and as the performance of the vehicle indicated with it finishing the year with a 10.02 pass, essentially the same as the 10.03 I started out the year running.

However, this got me to thinking. While everything appeared fine on the outside, I didn’t know until I looked deep inside. It’s the same with our lives. We can be going through the motions and doing everything expected of us and our lives look fine. But do we take time to inventory and observe our inner being? Our lives are filled with pressures, demands, and run at an accelerating pace. Do we have the inner strength to continue, or do we need to be refreshed?

2 Corinthians 13: 5,6
Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you—unless, of course, you fail the test? And I trust that you will discover that we have not failed the test.

We need refreshing. It is through God that we can recenter our selves, refresh our spirits and find the peace to handle the turmoils of everyday.
